children & youth

Sprouts: Ages 0-1 year
Our nursery setting is one of loving care and tender development. Infants are monitered and challenged to begin learning the very basics in a safe and secure environment.

First Look: Ages 2-4 years
Our preschool class uses a curriculum called First Look to introduce our kids from the earliest age to their loving creator. First Look uses engaging activities to give children a first impression of their heavenly father and the wonder of his love for them. In First Look, we want all children to learn that God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

252 Basics: Grades K - 5th
Our elementary age class uses a curriculum called 252 to show kids God's big story and the active part they can play in it. 252 provokes discovery and invites kids to live out their new understanding of how to grow in relationship with God with others. In 252, we want all kids to learn that I need to make the wise choice, I can trust God no matter what, and I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

VIP (Very Important Parent) Initiative
At Music City, we believe that no one has a greater opportunity to impact the lives of our kids than their parents, and that our efforts to disciple kids will be infinitely more effective if we partner with the parents rather than working as two separate entities. This is why we created the VIP initiative. Our goal is to connect with parents and equip them to continue the discipleship process in their homes throughout the week.
These efforts include:
Weekly lesson topics and memory verse posted on our website and facebook page
Quarterly Xtreme family services as part of the Sunday morning worship experience where parents and
kids attend church together
Annual invitations for parents to join their kids in 252

Ignite Youth Ministry: Grades 6th and up
Every week, Ignite takes on real world issues and deals with the topics that teens are facing. Rockin' music, fun games, hangin' out and interactive messages are all a part of what makes this ministry a great
connecting point for teens to find Christ. Catch us every Wednesday @ 7 p.m. (MCAG Annex)
Safety Policies:
We value the safety of our children above all else. For that reason, we have the following security measures in place:
1 – All children have identification badges with pictures of their parents on the back of the badge. No child will be released to
anyone except their parents. Visiting children will receive a name tag with an identification number. Parents will receive a
corresponding ticket with the same number. Parents will be required to present this ticket for the child to be released.
2 – All workers have had a background check completed. No person with any conviction of child abuse is allowed to work in the
children’s department.
3 – All workers go through semi-annual training of the church’s safety policies and procedures. If you would like to see a full
copy of the children’s safety manual, email musiccityag@musiccityag.com.
